Our US office is currently seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to join us and support continued rapid expansion of our Visionix brand of innovative refraction and diagnostic equipment.

The successful candidate will become the company’s regional expert on our Visionix branded products, providing consultation and training to customers and colleagues in the areas of product demonstrations, post-sale customer training, support and education. Additionally, the Clinical Application Specialist will prepare, execute and present clinical case studies in close cooperation with partners from industry and academia. Extensive regional travel required for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  1. Create customers for life and brand advocates by providing best-in-class education and training to OD and MDs, on Visionix branded products.
  2. Seamlessly integrate into Luneau’s go-to-market strategy process, providing professional education, pre-sale demonstrations, and thorough training post-sale, on Luneau’s modern and sophisticated Visionix-branded products.
  3. Most activity will be limited to the specified region, will usually be conducted in-person and on-site. From time to time, education/training activities may be conducted in a different region, or alternatively provided remotely over the phone or via web-services.
  4. Follow established best practices when providing client-facing training and demonstration. Work with the CAS team to constantly improve and refine this content for a variety of users, including ODs, MDs and staff. Ensure all documentation is approved as per Luneau quality guidelines.
  5. Maintain up to date knowledge of advances in clinical best practice and/or competitive landscape. Translate this knowledge into the company’s Learning Management System.
  6. Participate in regular corporate training sessions and review of new product functionality to develop and maintain mastery of software and hardware. Maintain all clinical certifications through completion of continuing education.
  7. Assist in installation of Visionix diagnostic equipment as required, in collaboration with Field Service Specialist.
  8. Pro-actively escalate customer issues to the relevant organizational stakeholder. Serve as clinical liaison between the customer and Technical Service department.
  9. Ensure timely completion of all paperwork and required reports including all data entry in company CRM system.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • JCAHPO, CCOA, COA, COT, or COMT is required

 Education and/or Experience

  • Strong presentation skills are a must. Previous experience in a training or teaching capacity is a plus.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting required, Ophthalmic clinical practice experience is a plus.
  • Oral/written skills and previous experience communicating complex theoretical and technical concepts to healthcare members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with Medical and other professional staff required. 
  • Developing and presenting formal educational programs, and effective collaboration with other healthcare members required. 
  • Word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation program abilities preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree is a plus.

Travel Required:  70% travel expected; must live within driving distance of home office
