Company grows its North American team with the addition of industry veteran Sal Hernandez
Bensenville, IL: : Luneau Technology is excited to announce that Sal Hernandez is joining its North American team as a Clinical Technology Specialist (CTS) focusing on their Visionix® line of products. In this newly created role, he will work cross-functionally with a team of specialists, to help Eye Care Practices navigate Visionix and emerging technologies and connect with their patients in a whole new way.
According to Milbien Medina, Brand Marketing Director for Luneau Technology USA, “When we began the search, we envisioned CTS as a non-traditional Inside Sales role that is hyper-focused on being an ECP partner for technology discovery. Sal is such a great fit.” She adds, “He is an amazing addition to our evolving team because his diverse experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, as well as a clinical and IT trainer, will allow us to better understand the needs of Visionix users and practice owners, who can benefit from our emerging technologies. His well-rounded background is ideally suited to execute our vision to help our customers evolve as their clinical needs and practice aspirations change.”
Hernandez began his career in the United States Army, where he became an Ophthalmic Technician at the Department of Veterans Affairs in San Antonio, TX. While in the army he managed three optometric clinics serving over 20,000 personnel within the United States Army Installation Management Command – Europe. Upon leaving the Army, he joined two major industry manufacturers as Clinical Application Specialist for 10 years where he focused on customer development and successfully migrated the department from a paper reporting system to an online-based email support ticketing platform. He is currently pursuing a degree in Health Information Management at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City.
As Clinical Technology Specialist with Luneau Technology, Hernandez will lead consultative dialogue with ECPs to navigate the right mix of technologies, such as second generation Visionix Eye Refract or the Visionix VX100 series with multi-modal screening, to improve the patient experience.
