Marketing Specialist, Event Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our fast-paced marketing team as Marketing Specialist, Event Planning. We’re looking for a data-driven marketer who has a proven ability to manage multiple projects at once, will pay attention to the small details (while also looking at the big picture), and can help drive results with cross-functional team members. This full-time position will be a “hybrid role” based in Bensenville, Illinois, with occasional travel required for events.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Brand Marketing North America, this role will oversee end-to-end planning and project management for in-person events. This role is ideal for a marketer skilled in task delegation, project oversight, and efficiency. The right candidate is a strong communicator and thrives in a target-driven environment. Success metrics will be measured by key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be discussed during the Onboarding Program.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Luneau Technology’s branding and marketing efforts with an emphasis on coordination of trade shows
  • Planning, coordination, and execution of events that support current sales and marketing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain trade show budgets, track expenses and report on trade show results
  • Research and develop potential trade show events that support entrance into new markets and product launch efforts
  • Assist in the coordination of company events and customer training events
  • Manage internal attendance for events and tradeshows, working in conjunction with sales and product teams to identify the appropriate onsite support
  • Maintain templates for communication (e.g., Save the Dates, pre-event presentations, post-event emails)
  • Work in conjunction with the broader marketing team to create a process around marketing-related activities for the events, including ancillary events, email touchpoints, and social campaigns
  • Organize activities, logistics and all planning for internal sales meetings
  • Work closely with specialists, agencies, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to effectively launch campaigns
  • Monitor ROI and drive conversations to improve strategies based on tracked marketing results
  • Handle internal communication to engage and activate project participants and colleagues
  • Leverage your creativity to implement effective promotions to help maximize awareness, presence, and engagement at events

Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or relevant field of study.
  • Event coordination and logistics experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of Marketing or advertising experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • B2B product launch experience a plus
  • Project management skills, comfortable with data, both creative and strategic thinking.
  • Prior experience using project management platforms (Microsoft Teams, Basecamp, etc.)
  • Digital marketing experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with Microsoft applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Tech-savvy, familiar, and comfortable with digital marketing platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, WordPress, Mailchimp, or similar email programs, etc.)
  • Comfortable working independently, and has solid time management skills
  • Highly organized and comfortable with reporting progress to senior management
